Tackling Drugs Changing Lives

The drug strategy is making a tangible difference to communities, families and individuals across the country. Together we are tackling drugs and changing lives.

We aim to work with our partners in the regions, and with the local and national media, to highlight our successes in tackling the misuse of drugs. This section of the website has been designed to help you join us in getting the message of Tackling Drugs Changing Lives out to our local communities.  

National events

National Tackling Drugs Week and the Tackling Drugs Changing Lives Awards will help engage communities in work being done locally to make their communities drug free. The government will also work with national and local role models to bring to life the difference being made across the country.

By sharing with the community the positive outcomes achieved for drug misuse through a range of interventions, we will demonstrate the effectiveness of coherent interventions and the role of the community in supporting those outcomes.
